Alright, folks, brace yourselves. It's Election Day 2025. And yeah, I'm already rolling my eyes so hard I can practically see my brain.
The Usual Suspects
So, what fresh hell awaits us? We've got the mayoral race in NYC, where apparently, even being indicted on federal corruption charges isn't enough to keep you off the ballot. Eric Adams skipped the primary, then endorsed Cuomo after dropping out. Seriously? Like some kind of bizarre political tag team wrestling match. And then there's Trump chiming in, because offcourse he is.
Don't even get me started on Cuomo trying to paint Mamdani as an elitist. Pot meet kettle, much?
And then there's Virginia, where the election is supposedly a referendum on Trump. As if anything is ever not about Trump these days. Spanberger's running as a centrist, but will it even matter? Does anyone actually care about centrists anymore, or are we all just stuck in our echo chambers screaming at each other?
California's Redistricting Shenanigans
California's Proposition 50 is just... ugh. Another power grab dressed up as righteous indignation. Democrats want to redraw congressional districts to screw over Republicans because Trump might do the same thing in red states. It's like watching two toddlers fighting over a toy, except the toy is democracy.
Is this really the best we can do?
And George Soros is throwing $10 million at this? Give me a break.

I swear, sometimes I think the whole system is designed to make us hate each other.
The Shutdown Specter
Oh, and let's not forget the government shutdown that's looming over everything like a dark cloud. Democrats and Republicans are playing chicken with healthcare subsidies, and the American people are caught in the middle. Again.
The article says that "polling clearly showed a majority blaming Trump for the shutdown" in 2019... but this time it's not as clear cut. So naturally, nobody's willing to budge. Because compromise is a dirty word in Washington, apparently.
Is anyone in Washington actually thinking about the impact on real people? Or are they just too busy scoring political points?
I'm starting to think we're doomed.
Polling Place Pandemonium
And because nothing is ever simple, the polls open at different times depending on where you live. 6 AM in some states, 7 AM in others, and some places are just making it up as they go along. New Hampshire, Tennessee and Washington just open "depending on your county or municipality." How are people supposed to keep track of all this crap? What time do polls open on Election Day? Here's what to know for all 50 states. How are people supposed to keep track of all this crap?
So, What's the Real Story?
Look, let's be real: this election ain't gonna solve anything. It's just another round of the same old song and dance. More partisan bickering, more broken promises, and more reasons to lose faith in the system. But hey, at least we get a say, right? Even if it feels like nobody's listening.
